Great! You now are ready to embark as a For Sale By Owner (FSBO) in Florida. The most successful FSBOers ( For Sale By Owners ) are those who plan and organize their selling process. To execute your list you need to plan with the essential strategies that will achieve your ultimate goal. Recall that your goal is to sell your home to the closest value of your asking price.

1. Collect/locate your home’s important documents

The last thing you want to do a day before closing is looking for all the pertaining documents associated with the sell of your home. Ensure that all your documents are accounted for. Place them in a secure place accessible to you. Make copies if necessary. Some homeowners invest in safe locks and/or bank lock boxes. This is good practice even if you’re not the most organize person. In Florida, we know that we are constantly threatened by weather, so it’s an excellent idea to keep our important documents safe from the weather elements.

2. Allocate time to sell your home

Most FSBOers learn late in the selling process that selling their home requires more time than they expected. For example, you must be willing to show your home unexpectedly to a potential homebuyer. That is why you should plan a generous time schedule so that you may attend FSBO matters and potential buyers

3. Budget preparation

When determining a budget, FSBOers should consider the following:

      • Create realistic budget goals that you may accomplish
      • Practice good money management
      • Uphold the budget constraints
